I'm Constitutionally Wired to Teach You a Thing or Two - Sorry

There are probably many ways to analyze my tendency to over-explain techie stuff and the intersection of marketing psychology and website design to my clients. Some I know actually want to learn, and others need to know. Goddess knows, none of us got this kind of education in our MA /MS / PhD programs, much to our detriment now as business owners.
But lately I find myself providing probably more detail than is wanted. And I've started to think about why that is.
Maybe the psychological explanation is simply that I just want to be liked -- okay, and who doesn't?
Or, that after all these years, I'm still motivated by that struggle to feel good enough -- how many therapy hours does it take to outgrow that?
Could be that my professional brand as a helpful resource has run amok. At the end of a long email of carefully outlined process steps, complete with screen shots, I sometimes imagine the recipient not even reading it all, or thinking good grief.
Seriously trying to be more succinct. Really. Promise.
Astrology Factors In
At the risk of making some of you groan, I think there are good astrological reasons that I'm constitutionally hard wired to teach you a thing or two. As a Capricorn, I'm born to be methodical and conscientious, and to appreciate the how-to for conquering complexity.
Then there's the disciplined teacherly energy of Saturn sitting in my 11th house of social circles, which can be interpreted to include clients as a group. As an introvert, socializing is not so comfortable, but teaching is a whole different thing.
Teaching has purpose.
So apparently it's in my astrological nature to teach in some way or another. Those emails are often teaching instruments, and up to now, at no extra charge.
This blog is a teaching -- in substance, in format, in engagement, in voice, in self-disclosure, in multi-purposing. If you don't know how one blog post accomplishes those 6 things, ask for another post that explains all that.
Oh nevermind. I already have that one half written in my head. It's the curse of the Mercury in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter in the 3rd house.
Want to know more about what that last sentence means? I can teach you. LOL
