FYI -- Few website developers know how to write content for a professional practice that sells an intangible, invisible, emotions-based service.  That's why hiring a web development firm doesn't always get you a good website.

Few SEO specialists are skilled at web design or writing that makes an emotional impact on prospective clients.

Fewer still know anything about the psychology of reader engagement -- how to display content in ways that keep visitors interested and feeling like you are talking directly to them.

Instead, you get pages that people don't read because of eye strain, overwhelm, and boredom.

FYI -- Few freelance writers know your business inside and out. They are unaware of the special ethical limitations you must adhere to, and the potential for web visitors to be in a vulnerable emotional state.

And they aren't always up to date on the integration of SEO with message writing.

I've rewritten web pages for solopreneurs after their development companies  provided an incomprehensible mess that was embarrassing to the psychologists' and healers' reputations.  Their developers  failed to understand the business of psychology or energy medicine.

I accept only the projects I can do well, and only as many as I can expertly handle at one time ~ usually not more than 5 at a time.

If you're ready to get your website or web content done, email me to find out if I have a waiting list.

Why clients hired me to build their website

I have an instinctive eye for matching good design with professional purpose.  I know what keeps a visitor on the page, and how text and photos need to be displayed to support getting your message across.

My philosophy is that a website is the center of your marketing and the primary public face of your business. I design every site with your preferences, and as if it were my own -- with care, and attention to detail.

Why clients hired me to write their content?

Writing comes naturally to me. What takes you weeks to write, I can likely complete in a couple days.  You save time and frustration.

Having had my own career as a psychotherapist, educator and intuitive, I understand your business.  I know what can be said, and what crosses the line of ethics and good taste, while still working to get new clients interested in your services.

I can write or edit your content for the most compelling marketing pitch to attract clients to your private practice.

Yeah, but what about SEO?

I don't claim to be an SEO expert.  I do keep on top of the latest information from Search Engine Land and Marketing Land for issues of relevance for the do-it-yourself internet marketer. My intent is to be better informed about the latest on Google's whims than your colleagues and friends, and most other business coaches.

Wix provides excellent tools for on-page SEO.  When I build a site, all the meta tags and photo alt tags are installed, heading tags are used, and content is keyword optimized according to Google's latest preferences.  Finally, I submit the site to Google and Bing for indexing and advise you on what to do to start getting the search engines to notice your site.

Additionally, I can coach you how to blog and use social media to drive traffic to your site.

Why I don't practice therapy anymore?

My first love has always been writing and producing written products that look good.  As a therapist, I didn't get my creative product-production need filled very often -- therapy is all process oriented and when I was done with a client, there was nothing to show for it except the client's improved life. That's no small achievement to be sure, but it's one that belonged to them, not me.

So it was fortunate that around the time I was getting highly dissatisfied with the imbalance of process facilitation versus product production in how I spent my daily hours, that my state changed the counseling law and eliminated my category of licensure. I took it as a sign to get out of the psych business, add a coaching income stream, and return to my first career love of writing and design.  I can truly say, I've never been happier.
