Common Question -- What Should My Website Have on It?

Many of my psychotherapist and alternative healer clients first contact me with the question -- what should my website have on it?
What works best for solo practitioners in the healing arts is this:
An emotionally compelling homepage message
A bio page that makes a personal connection
Niche specialty pages that address one problem each
A FAQ page that outlines your policies
A resources page that contains your blog or articles you have written
In the world of search engine optimization these days, more is more. Google considers pages with minimal content as not worthy of attention. Strive to write about 750 -1000 words per page unless using other SEO tactics that make up for minimal content.
Write from the perspective of what the potential client is most concerned about in the moment that they are online searching for help.
Your website also needs to be visually appealing, and be very clear about how to navigate around. Don't clutter the look of your pages with unnecessary color or fancy widgets or photos. Remember the KISS principle.
Those are the basics. Give it try. I'm here if you need help.
